| well there isn't much to say today. i figured i would write some stuff down though. this last week was a tough one for the whole campus here at eastern. 2 a.m thursday morning one of the students here at eastern had a 4 wheeler wreck. I don't know why they were riding at that time of night but the wreck was really bad. no one thought she was going to make it.and they had to life flight her from McAlester to Tulsa. As of right now whe is awake and doing really well considering she had severe damage to her liver and 1 kidney. I think our campus needed a wakeup call and I hope this has done it and it doesn't take someone loosing there life due to bad discions. We had a great prayer time on campus that thursday and it gave me a chance to share that God has a plan for all of our lives. Well other than that things are just flying by. I am really tired of OU mens basketball and the way they are playing. I'm glad they are getting wins but I don't know if I can take any more of these 1 point wins at the last second. I would rather have a blow out any day when it comes to OU! Well I hope all is well with everyone. Have a great week!

| Ok, here is more about the amazing trip to Thailand! We left on Jan. 1 at 8 am and it was the longest I have ever spent flying. It was some what miserable going over 13 hours to Tokyo. But then it got worse. Flying around seven hours from tokyo to bangkok. on a japanese airline. Let's just say these airplanes aren't made for BIG americans. So it was great to finally get to bangkok so we could get to sleep on the floor in a corner in the airport. It was only around 5 hours though and then we were off to Phuket. It was great to finally get to our final destination. The first Thai person I met was one of drivers that just so happend to be my age. His name is aung. What an amazing man of God and he was sooo happy despite being over 2 hours away from his wife and 2 children. I found out from him that in the past year around 25 churches have been started. That is amazing especially since there used to be only 1. God is doing amazing things. There were bible studies in different villages every other night and most of our drivers weren't christians and it was awesome to be able to share with them what Jesus means to us and just encourage them to look into christianity. It took a while to figure out why God wanted me in Thailand but I soon figured out it was a 20 year old young man named Mat. He was our driver and the one person I sat next to every day on our way to work. He is a muslim and so is the rest of his family. We talked about all sorts of things and built a friendship. I really do miss him. His family took a group of us on our day off inland. We rode elephants and canoed down a small river in the jungle. We saw a buddist temple in a cave and also fed millions of fish. All that time Mat made sure I sat by him. I was honered to be in that seat but also humbled. He hasn't become a Christian yet. But I am still praying for him and I hope to get to talk to him again soon. By the end of our 2 weeks in Thailand most everyone didn't want to go home. But I did. I missed my students at Eastern. They had started school without me and i hadn't seen any of them in over a month. So it was good to get home. But there will always be a piece of my heart in Thailand. | | |
| Ok I know, it is about time that I wrote in this thing. Mellisa and Cassie this is for you since every time I see you . Which isn't very often. You ask me to write. So here it is. Well this last semester has been really eventful. At the BCM we have seen 7 students come to faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. That is a huge Ya Hoo. It was really amazing to see how God is using my students here at eastern. I also have a puppy. Well she is a dog as of now. She has the energy of a puppy and the size of a full grown dog. She is a german short hair pointer. Her name is fancy face. The name is another story. You just have to see her. Right now she is the only girl in my life. I have also been half way around the world. I went to Thailand with 10 students that worked at Camp Hudgens this last summer and another BCM director went also. It was an amazing trip. We were there mostly to help finish houses that were being rebuilt from the sunami. It was great meeting tons of people and helping them know that there is a one true God and his name isn't budda. I would love to share more later. I'm sorry this is fairly short but I do have to work. Maybe I'll write again soon.

| Well camp hudgens is over for the summer. It is kind of sad. The six weeks spent there went by really fast. I am really going to miss the students that I had the pleasure to work with. They were all amazing yound adults. I would love to work with them again really soon. I guess we will get to spend a couple of weeks together in january. I hope everyone from the staff is going to get to go to Thailand for the mission trip. Well tomorrow I leave for KBA for the week. I am the rec guy and I'm sure it is going to be a blast. I am hoping so anyways. Well things are going great here in Wilburton. Church was awesome and God really spoke to me about a couple of things. Well I hope all is well with everyone out there that is reading. I'll talk later. bye | | |
| Hi there everybody. Its hard to believe how fast things go when we're having fun. It is already week five of six weeks at camp. I love the staff here. We have a blast and today we found out that we are going to have the opprotunity to go on a mission trip over seas. Oh and by the way it is free. We have to wait until January but that is ok. By the way Julie my sister came back from Sri Lanka on friday and awesome things happend there and she had a blast. It is good to see her back home. She wasn't ready to come back but we were ready for her to. I really am having fun at camp and I think alot of the staff is coming to my parents house on monday to watch the fire works show Robbers Cave State Park is putting on. I think it is an awesome show. Well I'm sure everyone is thrilled to hear how things are going on in my life. I know I love hearing what is going on in everyone elses. I guess I better go. Everyone have a great week! | | |
